Hi, my name is Hagen, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother AJ and his family. Just this past Friday (September 26), their only working vehicle suddenly erupted in flames and is now a total loss.

This has been devastating for them. They had just invested nearly $6,000 — all of their savings — into major repairs to keep the car running. Now, with the car gone, they’re waiting to hear what (if anything) insurance will cover, but in the meantime, they are without transportation and facing huge challenges.

AJ and his wife have two daughters, including their youngest who has special needs. She relies on consistent transportation for her ABA therapy and medical appointments, many of which are nearly an hour away by car. They also lost their daughter’s car seat, along with personal belongings and tools — things insurance likely won’t replace.

With winter approaching, this loss couldn’t have come at a worse time. The nearest grocery stores are 10–15 minutes away by car, and both AJ and his wife depend on reliable transportation for work. They are now left scrambling to figure out how to keep their family safe, get to work, and make sure their daughter doesn’t miss the therapy and doctor’s appointments that are so important for her.
