My students are spreading awareness about this worthy cause in Uganda.
Ajibu Community is an educational organization in rural Eastern Uganda that focuses on providing educational opportunities to rural youth. The majority of children, youth, and teachers in the Mayuge district of Uganda, where Ajibu Community established and operates a community school, have no access to digital skills and complete school without ever touching a computer, limiting their ability to succeed academically, enter the job market, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Today, digital literacy is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity for education, employment, and active participation in the global community.
Currently, Ajibu Community is implementing a Skills, Education, Entrepreneurship, and Development (S.E.E.D.) Program that empowers children and young people with future-ready skills and needs funding for: 10 basic or refurbished computers, electronic accessories to support those computers, and internet to establish the first and only computer center in the community.
My students have Zoomed with the founder of Ajibu Community and are excited to support the work being done there. With your support we can make a difference!
