Hi, I’m Aj Crenshaw and I’m speaking on behalf of myself and my family. On February 9th, the home we lived in for most of our lives caught fire and burned. In a matter of moments, we lost a good portion of the house, including an entire room, and nearly all of our belongings. The fire escalated so quickly that we barely made it out in time, but we are incredibly grateful that everyone survived. Walking through what was left of our home was heartbreaking, especially knowing that some rooms reached temperatures between 500F and 1500F. It was a terrifying experience that could have cost us our lives, and it’s something we’re still trying to process.

The aftermath has been overwhelming. We lost our home, clothing, furniture, personal items, and irreplaceable memories. Everything was either burned or covered in soot. Now, my siblings and I are facing the challenge of rebuilding our lives from scratch. Donations to this GoFundMe will help us with immediate needs like temporary housing, food, clothing, and basic essentials, as well as longer-term recovery costs such as replacing household items, school supplies, and helping us get back on our feet. This support will give us stability during an incredibly difficult time and allow us to focus on healing and moving forward together.
