Hi, I’m AJ. I’ve been identifying as a transmasculine person since 2018. I’ve always struggled with extreme discomfort with my body but my chest has always been my #1 source of stress. Because of this, I live with crippling anxiety and have been on medication for it but had to come off due to side effects. I’ve been wearing binders consistently for 3 years. Binding for hours and days at a time to minimize my chest, only makes my life harder as I have chronic pain and difficulty breathing on a daily basis due to how much I bind. Getting gender affirming top surgery would be a positively life changing event for me. Surgery expenses are not something I’m even close to affording as an unemployed college student so any financial help would be appreciated.
