Help Aj Frank & his family as he battles COVID-19

Donation protected

Hello, I am Lori Frank. My husband, Aj, is currently hospitalized and battling COVID-19.

Aj and I have been together for 25years. Over the years we have had our fair share of great times and memorable moments filled with love and laughter and good family fun. Aj has a natural gift of brightening up any room he walks in to. He will strike up a conversation with anyone he sees. Anyone who knows Aj will tell you, he truly knows no stranger. And if you talk about fishing, all he needs to know is when & where. Because if he’s not working, he’s most likely fishing somewhere.

Although we have had our great times throughout the years, we have also had to stay strong and overcome challenges as well. About 15years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Then years later I had my lung spontaneously collapse on two different occasions. Aj stayed by my side and encouraged me to fight and push thru the storms. He was my greatest supporter and would always do anything he could to lift my spirits. He gave me hope, and with the grace of God, I pulled thru it all. Then, Aj fell ill and was diagnosed with a heart condition. I stood by his side and was there for him, just as he had been there for me. He eventually got well and was able to return to work. Aj has been a Drywall Finisher for over 40years. He knows Drywall like the back of his hands. However, at the beginning of 2020, he fell ill again and was diagnosed with pneumonia. With God on our side, he made a miraculous recovery. But this time, we knew, the manual labor of Drywall Finishing was going to be a bit more difficult going forward. However, Aj continued to work and push forward as best he could. We live a simple life, we don’t splurge on extravagant things, nor do we live above our means. We are just normal people, trying to live a normal life.

Unfortunately, in late July 2021, my father was diagnosed COVID-19, and passed away in August. Although Aj and I had been vaccinated and trying to keep our distance from family and friends and others to stay safe, we knew we needed to travel out of state to hep my elderly mother during her time of need. We continued to do as much as we could to stay safe while traveling; wearing masks, keeping our distance, sanitizing, etc.. However, upon our return home, Aj and I both fell ill. Although I was starting to feel better, Aj was not. He was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with COVID-19 Pneumonia. Just as Aj had always given me hope and encouraged me to stay strong while I was hospitalized or battling a diagnosis, I am doing the same for him. The hospital won’t permit me to physically stand by his side, but I am right there with him mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. When you have been with someone for as long as we have been together, you have a connection that is almost unexplainable.

When Aj comes home, at 66years old, Drywall Finishing may be a thing of the past for him. No matter what, we will push thru together and be blessed to have one another and see another day together. Hospital bills, the mortgage, and the rest we will figure out, and try to make adjustments.

I ask that you pray for Aj to make it out this storm and come home to me & our family. We are all praying for his recovery every day. Please don’t think your 1 prayer won’t make a difference. Trust me it will, and it will mean the world to us. All prayers and all kind words are welcome. Any donations will be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you so very much and have a blessed day.
