Help AJ during this tough time
Donation protected
My brother AJ (Adrian Joseph Lowe) has had Crohn's for over twenty years and has had many surgeries and hospital admissions over this time.
Since 2019 he’s had a colostomy, ileostomy, stoma replacement and hernias.
This is now his 7th surgery in 4 years and it was an emergency that required ambulance transport at 3:30am Thursday 28th September 2023.
He is currently in hospital recovering and the reality is his mortgage, rates, strata fees, insurance and other bills all still need to be paid. He has run out of sick and annual leave, so is taking leave without pay and it looks like he is not going to be able to work until the new year.
There is sickness insurance with his superannuation fund which he is applying for. Yet this will take time (up to 8 weeks) to be processed and is not guaranteed.
We are trying to help him as much as possible, but it is becoming too much so I have set up this GoFundMe to take the stress off him in the coming weeks while he recovers and sorts his finances out and keeps the roof over his head.
Please donate if possible or share if you can't.
Any amount of money is greatly appreciated, with a lot of small donations turning out to be a significant and life changing amount.
I will be administering any donations made and will provide evidence of payment distribution on request.
If there is any surplus money after his recovery, this will be donated to the WA Ostomy Association to pay for nursing support for people who have the same condition.
Thank you.
