UPDATE (01-27-2026): Aizza is still in the hospital. They were due to come back Monday, but it was pushed back to today. It is now being pushed back again for an MRI to see how the infection is doing. They will have a better idea of what the next step will be after those results. She is looking better. She's happy and wants to come home. We want to make sure she's 100% better before she gets discharged. My husband has been with her all this time and hasn't been working for 3 weeks now. I've been extremely overwhelmed with the move, I work part time, kids still need to go to school. This would help us be less stressed so we can focus on moving and helping Aizza heal.
Hello, my name is Melissa. Our daughter, Aizza, has had a rough 11 years, but all is good for the most part. She was born premature due to placental abruption in 2014.
Last year in May she had her gallbladder removed due to gallstones. Last week (January 14th, 2026) she was complaining of abdominal pain and back pain. We took her to the ER and they said her appendix ruptured and had an infection (abscess). They flew her out to Colorado Springs (6+hrs away from home). My husband went with her because I can't take the baby on the airplane. They did surgery and removed as much of the infection as possible. She was discharged on Saturday.
January 21st, 2026 she began complaining of abdominal pain again. One of her incisions looks infected. Took her back to the ER. They did another CT scan and they could see she has an abscess again. She is now being flown out to Denver. My husband once again has to go with her. They will give her antibiotics and drain the abscesses.
We don't know how long they will keep her there, but my husband missed his work week to be with her last week and is missing work again this week.
On top of all of that, we're in the middle of moving. We need to be moved out by the 1st. We just need a little boost to help us not fall behind especially with rent at the new place. We don't want to start off being behind in our first month plus our utilities.
We really appreciate any support during this difficult time. Please pray that everything goes well and she can be back home soon and healthy.
