My name is Aisha Khan. I turn 24 this year.

When I was 19, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. It was the only home I had ever known, and overnight, I had to leave it behind and start over in Germany.

Adapting has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, especially while carrying the weight of mental health challenges I was already struggling with before the war.

After years of fighting through paperwork and trying to build a new life, I met someone I trusted. For two years, I stopped moving forward. That relationship turned out to be deeply unhealthy, and during that time, I lost control over my life and my paperwork.

Because of this, I now owe 10,000 euros to my insurance company. That is an amount I have never had at once in my life.

I am asking for your help so I can pay off this debt, correct the mistakes I made out of inexperience, and hold on to my chance to live safely in Europe.
