¡Hola!

Hi! My name is Airinés González Velázquez, and I’m currently a research assistant in the Garg Lab at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. I have been selected to present a poster at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) 2025, one of the largest national conferences dedicated to advancing diversity in STEM. At this meeting, I will share my ongoing research on the “Proteomic landscape of a novel Notch1;Gata5 congenital aortic valve stenosis murine model.”
Unfortunately, due to recent NIH funding cuts, my lab is unable to financially support my registration and travel expenses. Because of this, I am reaching out to my community for support in making this opportunity possible.
Presenting my research at ABRCMS is not only a chance to grow as a scientist but also to connect with peers, mentors, and graduate programs from across the country. Conferences like ABRCMS have been transformative in my career journey; in fact, I found my current research position through a similar meeting. Attending ABRCMS 2025 would allow me to continue building these invaluable connections while contributing to the scientific community.
Thank you so much for supporting me in pursuing this milestone in my career. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
