My name is Aimee, and last Monday I experienced a medical emergency due to an adverse reaction to a new medication. I was admitted immediately and kept in the hospital for a week to bring me off the medicine causing the reaction and to keep an eye on my health. The staff took very good care of me, and I'm feeling much better! I am very grateful to The Hospital of Central Connecticut for all their care and hard work.

Being in the hospital, however, means that I missed a lot of work. As an hourly employee, missing work means a missing paycheck, and that's why I come to the community asking for help. Any money raised through this GoFundMe will go toward covering my bills for the month as well as the cost of my hospital stay after my insurance coverage.

As I'm sure you all know, asking for help is a really hard thing for me to do. I work very hard to support myself, but this time life has gotten in the way and I need to lean on my community to get me through this.
