Hi, my name is Aimee, and I am blind. I’m reaching out because I’m going through a difficult season and need help covering essential expenses like rent and utilities while I work to get back on my feet.

I was laid off from my job in June and have been actively searching for employment ever since. I recently thought I had secured a position with the IRS, which would have provided the stability I’ve been striving for. Unfortunately, due to my job coach misspelling my email address, I never received the onboarding information and ultimately lost the opportunity through no fault of my own.

As I continue applying and interviewing, my bills are piling up, and I’m struggling to keep up. I’m doing everything I can to move forward, but at this point I need some support to stay stable. I also rely on my cat, who helps me manage anxiety, and I want to be able to continue caring for her while I work toward a new job.

Any help you can give would go directly toward rent, utilities, and basic living expenses while I continue my job search. Even sharing this fundraiser means more than you know.
