Hi, my name is Aimee. Recently my family and I went through a job loss that rocked our families finances. My partner Heather has been unable to find work and suffering with chronic illness while my job of 18 years I was not earning enough to sustain all rising costs, bills, and rent. We were in the process of planning a move and speaking to lawyers after several battles with our landlord in which they wouldn’t accept payments or allocated funds illegally but before we could have a plan in place precisely we were evicted from the property. The Sherrif and cleaning crew callously threw our belongings on the lawn so we were only able to collect what we could in a 48 hour period. With the help of a local Pennsylvania outreach we have been staying in a hotel and with help from generous friends and family we were able to get necessities we have needed. We are now onto our next emergency. While we had some funding set aside from donations from family, friends, odd jobs and my work we had a set back and lost our cat of 6 months, Bean today. When we were evicted the humane society offered to watch them 48 hours until we could get them situated. They warned us they may be a little sick from the visit but not that we would lose them. So now on top of needed housing money for Heather myself and the kids, Eileen (13) and Ana (12), we will be taking on vet bills. Our cats are our family, I was never one to ask for funding, but the need of money has become unmanageable as we do not want to lose any more pets and this is just one last thing we need to deal with in the most trying time of our lives that seems to come with one loss after another. Any help at all you can give even if it’s just sharing would be so greatly appreciated.
