HI! My name is Aimee Cuadra! Here’s my story. CURRENTLY, I am going through TSW (Topical Steroid Withdrawals). Since i was around 2 years old (according to my mom), I have dealt with eczema; an autoimmune related skin condition that so many of us deal with now, and have no idea where it comes from.

Even though eczema is very common in people, we don’t all have it for the same reason. It is truly an invitation to explore your health, to experiment and do lots of A/B testing to find what works best for you. Everyone is different. UNFORTUNATELY, most of us (if not all) who go to see a dermatologist get prescribed a topical steroid….but very little of us are warned of the consequences of using this cream as a band-aid, instead of finding the root cause.

THIS IS TSW. After learning the dire consequences of using topical steroids, my body is currently in the 1st month of withdrawals and I am beginning to face the harsh reality that, I need help.

Since I have entered withdrawals, it has been incredibly agonizing. My skin is COMPLETELY inflamed, dried out, cracked, covered with tiny bouts of pus from my head to my toes. I have extreme tightness in my whole body, and I am starting to experience so much pain and discomfort, it is becoming harder to function normally. I was teaching Yoga for the past 2 years, I have my own wellness business where my job is to constantly be in movement, and supporting others with their health and their joy. Going through this, has been somewhat disheartening to say the least…but I know there is an END to this process.

However, this is unbelievable, and I am in disbelief. TSW is SO much worse than eczema. I cannot believe this medication is prescribed the way that it is without PROPER warnings and INFORMATION. Truthfully, I don’t believe this medication should even be an option. We have a much larger problem at hand, and its that our healthcare providers are not CARING enough to walk us through figuring out what is going on, and instead prescribing medication as the solution to everything. TSW can take anywhere from months to years to heal from, depending on many factors.

-HERE ARE MY GOALS IN HOW TO USE THE FUNDING-

-I am gathering a team of healthcare professionals (primary doctor, holistic practitioner, endocrinologist, etc) in order to have them AWARE of my body’s condition and what I am going through, and they can support me as i journey through my self healing. This money will pay for all their services and whatever exams/bloodwork/etc I need to have done.

-I am looking into staying at either a clinic/spa that specializes in these conditions either in France or Japan. I am doing more research to really be sure. I want to be SO careful with my body. It’s in a very sensitive state. So far in France I found this clinic centrethermalavene.com where they offer hydrotherapy service that requires a 3 week commitment.

-the money will cover cost of flight, the services at the clinic, the time i am there, and any other services they may need me to do.

-I am looking into revamping ALL my home products, I need to invest in clothing made with COTTON, SILKS, LINENS, etc. (It’s crazy how much of our clothing is made with terrible material)

-I will be unable to work….I am already out of work and searching for a remote job as soon as I can. However in this time, I need so much help with my bills, my body needs to heal…anything helps.

I am so grateful to all the amazing people who have donated!!! After learning more information on reservations, I've learned I can possibly go sooner than planned! I really plan on working ASAP remotely, so I wanna closeout this GoFundMe. It's been a weird trip in my psyche having this up!
