Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to you today about my dear friend, Aimee. If you know her, you know her incredible spirit—the kind of spirit that simply refuses to let life slow her down. If you don't know her, you’re about to meet a genuine force of nature.

For two decades, she dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse. So when her life changed completely on May 9, 2022—just three days after her 50th birthday—she knew exactly what the diagnosis of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) meant. She knew the fight ahead, and for a short time, she struggled with the darkness. But the light of her resilience quickly took over.

Defying Expectations, Day by Day

She refuses to be defined by ALS. She is still pursuing life with fierce passion! She's now an avid painter, spends time in her garden, loves to travel, and—most incredibly—she is still finding ways to hike.

Her strength is legendary. Doctors initially gave her a prognosis that suggested she would not live to see 53. Well, she looked that timeline in the eye and said, "Watch me." She is still here, thriving, and intends to keep living life to the absolute fullest.

The Roadblock to Freedom

My friend’s current wheelchair just can't keep pace with her adventurous heart. Standard chairs can't handle the uneven terrain needed for the kind of travel and hiking she dreams of. She has tried, but her current equipment is limiting her independence.

We never know what tomorrow may bring, and Aimee intends to grab every adventure she can today. Please make her Christmas wish a reality.
