Help Aimee and Daughters in Memory of Bruce

Donation protected
Bruce Wilkins, beloved husband of our true friend and co-worker, Aimee Wilkins, passed away after a brief battle with cancer. We would like to raise funds to assist Aimee and her two daughters in paying medical, funeral, and other expenses.

Crouseville - Bruce Wilkins, 68, of Crouseville, Maine, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born June 3, 1956, to Dr. John L. Wilkins and Anne (Entriken) Wilkins of Wilmington, Delaware. He spoke fondly of his childhood growing up in the city but especially enjoyed vacationing with family at Lake Naomi in the Poconos, where Bruce developed a love for being in nature. He decided in junior high that he wanted to later become a forester and live in an area that offered snowy winters.

Bruce attended The Christian Academy in Chester, PA, before graduating from West Virginia University College of Forestry in 1979. He then fulfilled his plan to live in a colder area and moved to Aroostook County, Maine, in 1980, where he took seasonal jobs with the Maine Forest Service until establishing his own forestry consulting business, Woodlot Management Services. He took great joy in serving small woodlot owners and farmers throughout Aroostook County for 40 years right up until a few weeks before his passing.

Another love of Bruce's was playing guitar, especially old jazz. He met his wife, Aimee, through music gatherings at the Old Iron Inn in Caribou. They have wonderful memories of playing together in a small Celtic band and were married July 10, 2004. Becoming a father at an older age was an extra special blessing for Bruce as two very special daughters came into his life, bringing much joy.

At eight years of age, Bruce gave his life to Christ and faithfully served him throughout his life. He was an active member at Perham Baptist Church, where he most recently found pleasure in driving the youth group bus. He was an avid biker and kayaker, but his happiest place was on his cross-country skis.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Aimee (Roy); two daughters, Leah and Emily of Crouseville; two brothers, Glenn (Lysiane) of Rouen, France, and David (Elizabeth) of Wilmington, DE; one niece, Johanna; five nephews, Christophe, Michael, Mark, Eric and John; two great-nephews, Ilian and Sunny; one great-niece, Safia; and parents-in-law, Robert and Louise Roy of Presque Isle. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne Wilkins; and sister-in-law, Kimberly (Ferguson) Wilkins.

A celebration of life will take place later this summer. Those wishing to donate in Bruce's memory may send gifts to Perham Baptist Church, P.O. Box 8, Perham, ME 04766 or donate to the Central Aroostook Soil & Water Conservation District at caswcd.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bowers Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Presque Isle. Online condolences may be shared at bowersfuneral.com.
