My name is Ailin Duran. I am the mother of a beautiful 2-year-old little girl. My husband and I have been struggling for a very long time with paying rent to keep a roof over our baby girl's head.

Ever since we moved to this apartment—what we thought would be a fresh new start for our family—my husband has been let go from many jobs in the painter’s union that promised him better pay before we made our move. We were really counting on his new job for steady work and income. It has been completely unexpected and has destroyed our entire plan for our family.

I have been doing my best to provide money for my family in my detox coaching business, but business has been so slow no matter what I do or how hard I try. It has been incredibly hard showing up for my business and my baby girl. We will be out on the street any day now.

I have gone without food for long periods of time (while also breastfeeding) so that my daughter and our 12-year-old dog would not go without, and despite all this, we are still struggling with a mountain of bills and rent that we can't pay.

I have been the sole caretaker of my baby girl since the beginning and I have been extremely exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally, of carrying the burden of being my family’s provider and also taking care of my toddler full- time.

We are looking to afford a safe apartment for our daughter to live in with affordable rent that we can sustain as a family.

Your contribution will help us with paying the first month’s rent ($2100) and the security deposit ($2100) to move into a new place before we are kicked out of our current apartment this week.

Your contribution will help us to send for our car ($2000) that is currently in Virginia. It has become impossible to function without one and get food without transportation.

Within the past 8 months, I have suffered from 3 miscarriages from the stress that I have been in.

I have fallen into a deep depression.
