We have some sad news to share ....
Yesterday (Tuesday) Aido was admitted to hospital again and his family were told that he was in a bad way .... sadly Aido passed away this morning ... All money donated will be sent asap to Jaimi for expenses ... Fly High Aido!!!
Aido McManis - a young man who started his working career in print is now fighting for his life. Aido is 35 years old.
At a youthful age of 14, Aido began his career on the finishing tables at Lindsay Yates & Partners earning pocket money. After finishing high school, he joined the Lindsay Yates team as a full time junior customer representative where he began his career and love for the printing industry. He put 100% into his work and began to climb the ladder to where he would become a Senior Account Manager.
It was where he met his beautiful wife, Jaimi. Forging their relationship together, they quickly fell in love, married, and now have two young gorgeous children. Toby 3 and Oscar 1. Life appears perfect!
During the already stressful time of the Covid pandemic, Aido was diagnosed with cancer. A cancer that would now lead this happy young family man on a journey of continuous uphill battles along with countless amounts of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and surgery.
Aido tries to spend as much time with his wife and two young children, ensuring that every second is spent together as a family. Unfortunately, the cancer treatments were not as successful as we all hoped and it has now spread to an advanced stage in the liver. This means an uphill battle.
Anyone who has ever met Aido, knows that being around him brings a positive and joyful aspect to life. We ask ourselves, why can life be so cruel to those that bring nothing but love and care into the world, - especially to a beautiful soul with a wife and two young children.
My name is Linda. Originally from the UK but I have been in Australia for 32 years (in the print industry). I have been fortunate to have worked with Aido for 10 years at a couple of print companies (we left one company to join another as a team).
We are praying to anyone that knows him, anyone that he kindly lent a helping hand to, or anyone that understands the battles that he is going through, to help support our GoFundMe page to help pay medical costs , travel, parking and child care so that Jaimi and Aido can spend as much time together rather than worrying about money. Any spare donations will be used to support the family as required by Jaimi.
