Hi, my name is Aiden, and I live with muscular dystrophy. A few years ago, another family who had lost their son to this same condition found me through my TikTok page and generously donated their son’s ActionTrack chair to me. The chair was manufactured about 10 years ago, but I’ve only had it for about two. In that short time, it has completely changed my life. For the first time, I can move freely through the woods, explore the outdoors I love, and even go hunting and fishing on my own. It has given me a level of independence I never thought possible and has allowed me to grow Narrow Gate Outdoors, my faith-based outdoor apparel company focused on hunting and fishing. Through Narrow Gate Outdoors, I run multiple social media channels, create content, film product videos, and take photos — all of which rely on mobility and being able to access the outdoors firsthand.
While my current chair has served me incredibly well, I’m hoping to raise funds for a newer ActionTrack chair that will be even more dependable for years to come. The new model has improved suspension and features that will make it easier and more comfortable for me to navigate rough terrain, carry my gear, and continue living out my passion and work in the outdoors. Most importantly, this will allow me to pay it forward by donating my current chair to my brother, who also lives with muscular dystrophy. While he is not in a wheelchair, he struggles to move over uneven terrain and often has a hard time keeping up in the woods. He is just as passionate about hunting as I am, and this chair will give him a freedom he’s never had. I want this to be a complete surprise for him next hunting season.
Our goal is to have the new chair in place by October, at the start of Pennsylvania’s archery season, so we have about eight to nine months to raise the funds. Your support would impact both of us by giving us mobility, independence, and the opportunity to fully pursue our passions in the outdoors.
I’m incredibly grateful for anyone who chooses to be part of this journey. Whether you donate or simply take the time to read my story, it means more than you know. Asking for help has never come naturally to me, but knowing there are people willing to support my quality of life — and my brother’s — is something I will never take for granted. Thank you for caring enough to read, share, or give. Your kindness truly helps us keep living out what we love most in this world.
