Hey everyone, I’m Aidan and I’ve created this GoFundMe with the aim to raise enough money to help with flights, accommodation, and travel for my competition in South Africa! I entered my first-ever powerlifting competition back in March and came away successful enough to receive an invitation to represent Northern Ireland in the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in South Africa! The only issue is none of it is funded by the Northern Ireland Powerlifting Federation, so I have to raise £2000 alone while living on a student budget and paying rent. Therefore, this becomes near impossible to simply “save up for.” So now I have turned to my friends, family, and anyone else who can help me make this happen! Representing my country in a sport I am beyond passionate about is a dream come true, and I really don’t want a lack of money to be the thing stopping me. All funds raised will go towards flights, accommodation (this isn’t decided by me, so it will be quite expensive), any other excess travel, and meals over there. Any penny sent my way will be beyond appreciated, as it brings me one step closer to my lifelong goal. Thank you so much for reading and for your support!
