Help Aidan McGarry get back on his feet again

Our dear  friend Aidan McGarry is currently being cared for at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston

On August 18th, Aidan was brought to the ER , scans revealed a brain tumor and swelling. He was immediately transferred to Houston for surgery to remove the tumor and drain fluid.

Post surgery, Aidan recovered in the Critical ICU and was later transferred to Neuro ICU.

He experienced complications due to additional fluid and swelling, and on August 28th a drain was fitted.
The tumor may be the cause of the post surgery fluid , doctors are awaiting biospy results to confirm.
A permanent drain may be required, At this stage of his recovery there are some uncertainties.

The heartbeat of any area is Community, the strength of that community is moulded by the people within it. 
One of the most important elements for us all, is that sense of belonging and support that comes from being part of a community.

Those that know Aidan,  are aware of Aidan’s sense of community and support for all those he meets. 
His first love, after his family, is the GAA , specifically Hurling. Closely followed by a decent cuppa tea and a good chat. 
Our community now needs to rally around Aidan, Colleen, Jake and Isabel.

Aidan is a self employed carpenter, Pride and integrity are words often associated with his work. 
He selflessly gives his time and talent to help and support his community.

This is an uncertain time for the McGarry family, and we have an opportunity to support them financially

Loss of earnings 
Accommodation costs to be close to Aidan in Houston

Together we can lessen the financial burden,  so that Aidan and his family can focus their time and energies on his recovery.
