Hi! My name is Tony Bittar and I’ve created this fundraising campaign to help my mother, Aída Perdomo de Bittar, recover her vision through cataract surgery and regain a better quality of life.

Aída is a sharp and strong 84-year-old woman with a deep will to keep living fully. She currently lives in Caracas, Venezuela. Unfortunately, she completely lost the vision in her left eye in 2017 due to a failed cataract surgery performed in Venezuela. Now, the cataract in her right eye is progressing, and this has led her into a deep depression, as she is no longer able to see properly or care for herself—despite being mentally fully capable.

The good news is that Aída was recently evaluated at one of the best eye clinics in Caracas, and the treating doctor is confident that there is still time to operate and fully restore the vision in her right eye.

From a distance, I’ve been covering the cost of medical appointments and all pre-surgical tests, but I now need your kind support to raise the remaining funds for the surgery and post-operative care.

Hola! Soy Tony Bittar y he creado esta campaña de recolección de fondos para ayudar a mi mamá, Aída Perdomo de Bittar, a que recupere su visión a través de una cirugía de cataratas y pueda tener una mejor calidad de vida. Aída es una mujer lúcida y fuerte de 84 años con una voluntad enorme de seguir viviendo. Actualmente vive en Caracas, Venezuela. Lamentablemente, perdió completamente la visión en su ojo izquierdo en el año 2017 debido a una mala cirugía de cataratas efectuada en Venezuela. La catarata en su ojo derecho está avanzando y esto la ha sumido en una profunda depresión debido a que ya no puede ver bien, ni valerse por sí misma a pesar de sus plenas facultades mentales.

La buena noticia es que Aída fue examinada recientemente en una de las mejores clínicas oftalmológicas de Caracas y el médico tratante asegura que aún estamos a tiempo de operarla para que recupere totalmente la visión en su ojo derecho. Desde la distancia, he costeado las citas médicas y todos los exámenes pre operatorios, pero necesito de su gentil ayuda para poder recolectar el dinero necesario para la operación y el tratamiento post operatorio.
