Early Sunday morning we woke to our senior dog of 12 years Sybil screaming in pain with his arms stuck outstretched & his neck kinked all the way to one side unable to move from this position. We immediately rushed him to the emergency vet & learned that Sybil had suffered a stroke, and has a testicular tumor. He is now home with us being monitored 24/7 & is in intense recovery. Since the stroke Sybil has been unable to walk or use the bathroom without assistance what so ever. He is being fed 3 different types of medication every 8 hours.
We have been instructed by the vet to continue giving him his medicine & monitor his behavior daily in hopes he doesn’t have any bleeding in his brain, at which point we will be left to make no other choice but to lay our baby to sleep.
The emergency vet trip left us with practically nothing considering we had to spend our entire savings, and still couldn’t afford to get his bloodwork done or address his tumor at all..
Not only is this an extremely emotional and traumatic time for us but the holiday season is quickly approaching & at this point in time we are unable to pay our rent, and have absolutely nothing set aside to honor our babies life if the worst does occur. Please if you are able to help at all it would mean everything to us as Sybil has been by my partner’s side for 12 long years, and all we want is for him to find the peace he deserves wether it be earth-side or not. thank you for reading.
