Help aid, Stacie and her family while fighting endometriosis

Donation protected
This is Dawn, Stacie’s mom. I ended up creating a different page for GoFundMe to raise funds for Stacie and her family during this very hard time. Since most of our followers have seen all the videos that she’s been posting on updates of her day-to-day as to what’s been going on, I know I’ve been trying to keep everyone updated to the best of my ability as well.

At this time, her husband Cameron has been great, caring for their little one at home and taking care of things while trying to keep some normalcy. At the age of 16, Stacie was diagnosed with a chronic illness called endometriosis. Endometriosis is basically uterine lining growing on the outside of the uterus and around other parts of the body. She’s dealt with it for years. Three years ago, she had a complete hysterectomy with her OB/GYN, ensuring her that having a complete hysterectomy with ovaries and everything removed would cure the chronic illness. Here we are three years later, and she has it worse than she ever has before. It has now grown around her intestines, bowel, pelvic floor, and her back.

She has spent four days at a hospital in Buffalo, being told that this place had the greatest specialist for this chronic illness around. All week long, she was expecting to have surgery the following Monday, so at that point, she was happy that it was finally getting taken care of. Here we are Tuesday morning, and the surgery never happened. On Monday morning, a completely different group of medical professionals and nurses came into the room and decided that Stacie no longer needed to be cared for and it was a non-emergent situation. So, they medically neglected her and discharged her from the hospital.

She now has to go all the way out to Rochester, which is three hours away from her home, to be away from her husband and child again, not knowing if they’re going to put her under surgery immediately or not. Regardless, the surgery has to happen. It was originally supposed to happen at the end of May, but due to the fact that it’s so severe that it’s able to be seen on imaging, it needs to be taken care of sooner rather than later. Endometriosis is a very hard condition to detect on imaging. The only way of discovering endometriosis typically is by doing a laparoscopy surgery, which involves cameras to go in with a laser and detect where all of the scar tissue is. Hearing it to be able to image is just proof enough that it is past the bad point now.

She can no longer work full-time. She’s stuck at home right now, currently bedbound, unable to do anything for herself, low energy, very, very depressed, and anxious about not knowing what the future holds or what her next step is. I am just asking for some help towards their monthly bills as Stacie is unable to work until further notice and for helping get to and from medical appointments along with paying for all of these unexpected medical bills that will be coming in soon and to take some of the stress off of her husband. As of right now, he is the only income that they have. He has been great through this. I wouldn’t want any other man to care for my child. He’s great with his son while this time is very hard and trying to keep some normalcy for all of them. Anything will help at this point. Thank you so much. If you’re unable to do a donation through GoFundMe, reach out to me. I have Cash App and Venmo as well, and you also know of my salon in Randolph. I’m trying to keep updating everybody as much as possible, and so is she, but right now she is exhausted.
Stacie has been battling since the age of 16 with endometriosis being told she couldn’t have a baby. She has tried all medication options for this chronic illness not of which have not worked for her. She was told that once she does carry a baby it will calm the endometriosis down which in turn made it worse for her. Her next option was a complete hysterectomy with ovaries and tubes removed being told that it would cure it all 100%, they then had to put her on hormones because she is so young and her body still needs estrogen. Endometriosis feeds off of estrogen even the smallest lesson left over can continue to feed itself and grow. She now has stage 4 endometriosis at the age of 16 it was only a stage 1 the provider that has put Stacie through all of this is now out of practice and retired. And Stacie still continues this battle.
We are endometriosis strong !
