Help Aid Rue’s Long Road to Recovery

Hello everyone - I’m creating this fundraiser for a friend of mine whose dog was hit by a car - it was a total accident (and no one’s fault), but she sustained serious injuries. She was hospitalized with a fracture of her acetabulum (hip joint) that resulted in her needing one of her rear legs amputated, a pneumothorax (air in the chest cavity), and a huge de-gloving wound on her abdomen. She was in the hospital for 5 days and has finally been discharged, but the wound on her abdomen was not able to be closed so she still needs to be sedated daily to have her bandages changed and it will be months before she is fully healed. The dogs name is Rue (pictured here) and she is one of the sweetest, goofiest dogs around who has brought joy to many peoples’ lives! My friend (who has asked to remain anonymous) is doing everything she can to carry her dog through this, and with Rue being as popular of a girl she is she has lots of supporters, but all the medical care so far has incurred a heavy financial burden on my friend and the bills are going to keep coming for weeks to months. So I am reaching out to friends/family/community to see if we can help raise some funds to help make the financial burden a little less daunting so my friend can focus on the care and recovery of sweet Rue. ❤️‍ Any little bit helps, so thank you all in advance for all the support!
