Hi friends, on Thurs 7/24, while coming to a stop during traffic, I was hit by a car at full speed on the highway from LA to Sacramento, which landed me in the hospital, with my car being totaled in the process. Given the nature of the accident, I feel extremely lucky and grateful that I have been discharged from the hospital. Unfortunately, the injury to my spine and upper limbs is severe, and I will be out of work for an indefinite period of time.

I’m looking for some help for these first few months until I understand the depth of my journey to be pain-free and back in a new car.

This has been a very humbling week and a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of community. Thank you to those who have already lent so much support and guidance through this process. You know who you are!

Any help I receive will be put toward my bills for the next few months as well as the purchase of a chair that can allow me to sit with "zero gravity," which, given the compressive nature of my injuries, is one of the best immediate solutions for the ongoing pain.
