Hi my name is Rita Taoufik. I'm the daughter of Aicha Ouhane, a 59 year old woman who is known to many as a kind, caring and giving soul. For the last couple of years my mom has been battling liver disease meanwhile trying her best to raise her 2 girls. Over the last 4 months her health has plummeted severely leading her into early stages of liver failure due to her cirrhotic liver. We have been told that if she does not receive a liver transplant within the next couple of months she won't make it to next winter. She is currently on the UNOS transplant list but unfortunately in the state of California she is not considered as top priority since there are many people ahead of her on the list that have much more serious cases. We have now come to the decision to relocate her to Florida in order to get her faster care since they transplant people with lesser liver issues than her.
