My name is Wendy Badillo Cervantes, and my heart was forever changed during my recent visit to Kenya.
While there, I had the privilege of spending time at AIC Siyiapei Children’s Home. I met children whose smiles could light up a room children who laughed, sang, and held my hands with so much love. But behind those beautiful smiles are stories of loss, hardship, and uncertainty.
Many of these children have lost one or both parents. Some have experienced abandonment. Others have faced poverty so severe that the children’s home became their only safe place. AIC Siyiapei Children’s Home is not just a building it is their refuge, their protection, and their hope.
Yet the home struggles daily to provide the most basic necessities. There are days when food is limited. Mattresses are worn thin. School fees are difficult to cover. Medical needs sometimes go unmet simply because there isn’t enough funding.
As I sat with these children, listened to their dreams, and saw their strength despite everything they have endured, I knew I could not walk away unchanged. I promised myself I would do something anything to help.
This fundraiser is my commitment to them.
The funds raised will go toward providing:
• Nutritious meals so no child goes to bed hungry
• School fees and supplies so they can continue their education
• Proper bedding and clothing for dignity and comfort
• Medical care and daily essentials
• Support for the home’s most urgent needs
These children are not asking for luxury. They are asking for safety, nourishment, education, and a chance at a better future.
Even a small donation can make a powerful difference. $10 can help provide meals. $25 can help supply school materials. Every dollar brings them closer to stability and hope.
If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser. Sharing could reach someone who is able to help.
Thank you for opening your heart to AIC Siyiapei Children’s Home in Kenya. Together, we can remind these children that they are not forgotten and that the world cares.
With love and gratitude,
Wendy Badillo Cervantes
