Help ahsoka conquer parvo
Donation protected
Over the last four months our family has struggled with parvovirus within puppies. Around last October my dad and I decided it was time to get a dog after eight years of losing our two chocolate labs after having them for 13 years. It took a long time for us to work our way up to getting another furry friend. I had been really wanting one and we finally decided it was time. We got our first puppy, mookie. An 8 week old Rottweiler puppy. It turns out our puppy mookie was diagnosed with parvovirus. We had him for three weeks before we had to put him down after a week and a half of treatment from our local animal hospital. He got very sick very fast and I was the one to hold him as he took his very last breath. It was hard for us to lose a dog yet again after we had just recovered from our other dog losses. We contacted the breeder and he gave us the opportunity to have another puppy. We decided to go with ahsoka. We had waited 4 months to have her in our home to give us time to grieve. It also gave us time to clean our home from the parvo that might’ve been there from before. We did two full cleanings of our entire house and got all new products for our new puppy. She still was diagnosed with parvovirus around the exact same time mookie was. We were able to have her for two heathy weeks and on the second day of the second week we noticed a change in ahsokas behavior. A little later on in the day we got an email from the vet saying she has giardia. We didn’t think too much of it and thought her symptoms were just from giardia. The next day we decided to get her tested for parvo just in case since what we had been through previously. The results came back positive and we immediately were stopped in our tracks. We didn’t have much money to start with since we had tried to save our other puppy. The $6,000 will put her through three days of 100% medical treatment. After those days we will take it step by step and hopefully be able to give her the care she needs. Ahsoka does have a chance to live. She is in much better condition then what our other puppy was in. She is strong and keeping her head held high and our doctors our hopeful in full recovery. All we need is to be able to put her through the treatment she deserves to get. We want this puppy to come home with us and to live out the rest of her life in our home. My dad and I have gone through a lot of grief and it would really be hard to go through it all again. With just a few dollars of donations will be a big help and will be able to take ahsoka to another step of recovering from this god awful virus. We are hoping we can get justice from this situation and we will continue to give ahsoka the best life as long as we can. Please help us bring our baby home.
