The AHO RUGBY club is Appalachian State's Women’s Rugby Club.

Established in 1997, AHO Rugby Women compete in the second division

of National Collegiate Rugby's Central conference. We are a club sport and

compete to advance to national championships in both fall and spring

semesters. In 2022, we were ranked 3rd nationally for DII women’s club

rugby.

As you can imagine with the cost of travel, and equipment we have a high

overhead for a non-varsity sport. Many of the universities in our

conference are 4+ hours away and require overnight stays. We travel as a

club with 30+ players, so travel expenses along with other regular

expenses such as jerseys, practice field rentals, and conference and union

dues add up quickly.

Unfortunately, the team came across a issue of fraud over the past semester. Which forced us to start over financially for this upcoming school year. We have had to cancel multiple games and opportunities for our team. So we are reaching out to our surrounding communities and asking for help. So our girls can get an chance to play the sport they love.
