I am Ahmed and Sabrin's mother,
On the 5th of July 2025, an airstrike struck the tent where my family was living in Gaza. My youngest beloved daughter and son were killed, and my other son and daughter, Ahmed and Sabrin, suffered severe, life-threatening injuries.
I am writing to you with deep urgency and a heavy heart to ask for your support.
My son Ahmed and daughter Sabrin urgently need to be evacuated from Gaza to receive critical medical treatment that is not available locally due to the ongoing war. Our family has also lost our only shelter in the attack and is now completely displaced.
My Daughter's Condition
Sabrin suffers from severe trauma caused by the airstrike explosion. She has shrapnel fragments lodged in her neck and back and is currently experiencing quadriparesis (paralysis in all four limbs) due to injuries to her spine.
She is in critical condition. She cannot be moved without proper medical transport. If the hospital she is in is evacuated — as many have been — her life would be in immediate danger. Gaza’s medical system has collapsed: hospitals are overwhelmed, under-equipped, or destroyed.
My Son's Condition
My son Ahmed was also injured by the airstrike. He has shrapnel in his head, arm, back, and abdomen, and suffered broken ribs. While doctors were able to stop the bleeding through emergency surgery, the shrapnel remains in his body and cannot be removed due to lack of equipment.
His condition is fragile. If the shrapnel shifts or worsens, his life and future livelihood could be permanently affected.
Why We Are Asking for Your Help
I am trying to evacuate both of them to a hospital outside Gaza that has the resources to treat their complex injuries. The support fund will be used to:
- Pay for urgent medical evacuation
- Cover the cost of specialized treatment abroad
- Provide food, medicine, and shelter during this time of displacement
- Support basic living expenses until stability is restored
We are facing unbearable loss. I have already lost two of my children because they could not access medical care in time. I am now desperately trying to save the lives of my remaining son and daughter.
