Support Ahmed and His Family in Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Eliot and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend, Ahmed, and his family in Gaza. Since the 7th of October, Ahmed and his family have been facing unspeakable tragedy. Shortly after the start of the genocide, they were displaced from their home with nothing but the clothing on their backs. Shortly thereafter, their family home and all of their belongings were destroyed.
As the genocide continues, the cost of basic necessities has risen exponentially making it near impossible to acquire food, water, clothes, or blankets. And as winter wears on and temperatures plummet, Ahmed and his family are facing this suffering without adequate shelter.
From Ahmed,
"We are a family from the Gaza Strip. We used to live in peace and quiet. During the war, we had to leave the house before it was destroyed. We were displaced to northern Gaza. Now we live in a small tent, and we left everything we owned in our house, which was destroyed. We have small children with us, and we barely try to save money. In order to eat and drink, we ask for help to rebuild our destroyed house or even to find a place where we can live temporarily instead of this tent that does not protect us from the rain and the wind."
Currently, we've set a goal of $1000 for the purchase of life-preserving necessities (food, water, clothing, materials for shelter, etc.). As per GoFundMe's current policy, if the goal is not reached, all donations will be refunded. As such, my hope is that we can exceed the $1000 goal to best support Ahmed and his family. The funds will be withdrawn into a separate account and then transferred via Western Union.
Ahmed and his loved ones have endured tragedy most people will never comprehend. They deserve any and all support available to aid them during this genocide. Please consider donating any amount you can, and sharing if you cannot. I am profoundly grateful for your support!
