Hello, my name is Ashlyn from USA and I'm raising money for Ahmad Almadhoun and his family displaced in the south of Gaza. Below is a message from him directly.
"Peace be upon you, we need your help and support for us in Gaza.
We are a Palestinian refugee family, currently living in the Gaza Strip. Within a genocide, we face the risk of death every day. There are no words that can describe what we have lived and we still live.
I'm Ahmed, I'm 29 years old, and I live in Gaza. The number of people I live with is 7 individuals, and they are my father, mother, my fiancée, my brother, my sister and her child. I'll tell you my story. After years of work and making money to live a happy life, which was supposed to be my wedding on November 3, 2023, but the date of October 7 came and eliminated everything. We lost our house, the shelter for us, and we lost all the wedding equipment. My fiancée lost her house, which was sheltering her and her family, and she lost everything beautiful inside her house and all the wedding supplies.
She graduated on August 13, 2023, and works at Al-Shifa Medical Hospital, which was destroyed by the occupation while she was at work, and she was trapped in it without water or food.
Since then, we have been living a continuous nightmare.
Bombs have poured on us, and homes and lives have been indiscriminately destroyed. And in the midst of chaos and massacre, we found ourselves running away for our survival. Every day we hear about children dying.
We were displaced from our house in Gaza to the southern areas under inhumane conditions.
I didn't think about making the link until more than 400 days after the war. Any small contribution will have a significant impact in helping us reach safety.
We urgently need to leave Gaza in search of safety and a new life. However, the cost of traveling outside Gaza exceeds our capabilities. It will take about $20,000 to coordinate our passage through the Rafah crossing until my family is safely evacuated.
We cannot afford this amount on our own.
He has run out of choices and time. I humbly appeal to your generosity and sympathy to help us in our time of need.
Your support means more than just financial aid; it is a sign of sympathy in the face of humanity.
Thank you so much for your help. ❤"
Since the Rafah crossing is closed for now the money will be spent on basic necessities like food, clothing, bedding, shelter. We hope the crossing opens as part of new negotiations in the near future. The ultimate goal is to reach safety.
