Help Ahmad's Siblings Evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Ahmad Saleh, and I recently evacuated from Gaza to Egypt. While I am safe here, my family remains in Gaza, living in a tent amidst the ongoing war. The situation is dire, and they need urgent help. I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to help me reunite with my beloved siblings. The ongoing conflict has created immense challenges in our lives, and I am determined to bring my brother and sisters to Egypt safely so they can continue their education and bright futures after the hardships we have faced. Let me share a little about each of them and why your support means so much to us.
Here is My Oldest Sister, Asala.
Asala is a Computer Science student at Al-Azhar University, just two semesters away from graduation. She has always dreamed of becoming a great software developer, starting with UI/UX development and eventually becoming a company owner to support our family. Her graduation project, focused on using AI to help people with brain tumors, was the first step toward her ambitious plans. Unfortunately, the war has put her dreams on hold, and for six months, she has watched her hopes slowly fade away. Help her and our family create a future outside of Gaza, where she can turn her dreams into reality.
Sara, Our Middle Sister, the Angel of the Family
Sara, the angel of our family, has a brilliant medical mind and a compassionate heart. She is studying anesthesia and resuscitation, aiming to be our family’s “soft hand” in the medical field. In Gaza, the war has devastated hospitals, medical centers, and the healthcare system, leaving her with no place to study, work, or receive proper training. By helping Sara find a new place to complete her education, you will be supporting her dream of becoming a skilled healthcare professional who can make a real difference in people’s lives.
Our Family’s Hero, Mohammed (left side of the photo)
Mohammed, the youngest of our family, is a true hero. He has shown incredible resilience in the face of adversity, always rebuilding and recreating his dreams. This year is particularly crucial for him as he pursues his diploma, or “Tawjihi,” which will determine his eligibility for university. Without this diploma, he cannot continue his education. The war has interrupted this pivotal year, threatening his future. By supporting Mohammed, you will be giving him the chance to complete his education and embark on a new journey toward a better life.
Our Goal
The situation in Gaza is dire, and it is increasingly difficult for my family to continue their education amidst the conflict. I am seeking to raise funds to cover the costs of bringing Asala, Sara, and Mohammed to Egypt. This includes travel expenses, accommodation, and educational fees. Your generous contributions will help us secure a safe and stable environment where they can focus on their studies and build a brighter future.
We are asking for a total of 21,500 dollars. It costs $5,000 for each of my three siblings to cross into Egypt. Another $5000 will go towards our lives in Egypt and my siblings’ futures— taking out Egyptian passports, renting an apartment, allowing Muhammad to complete Tawjihi (High school), and giving Asala and Sara opportunities to continue and complete their higher education. As it is getting more and more expensive to make money transfers into Egypt ($240 per $5,000 transferred), we have accounted another $1500 just for transfer fees, as through Western Union we are only able to receive money in $5,000 installments.
How You Can Help
Any amount you can contribute will make a significant difference. Your support will help Asala achieve her dreams of becoming a computer scientist, allow Sara to continue her medical training, and ensure Mohammed has the opportunity to enter university. Please consider donating and sharing our story with your network.
We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and support during this challenging time. Together, we can provide my siblings with the chance to continue their education and pursue their dreams.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Ahmad Saleh
