Help Ahmad and His Family Rebuild Their Lives After Tragedy

Hi, my name is Daniel Iachini from Sydney, Australia, and I’m raising funds to help my dear friend Ahmad and his family in Lebanon rebuild their lives after facing devastating challenges. I met Ahmad in 2018 when I visited Lebanon, and he showed me incredible generosity in welcoming me and sharing his beautiful country.

Recently, there were Israeli bombings in Beirut. To ensure their safety, Ahmad and his family were forced to leave their home and seek refuge in the mountains in Sawfar, Mount Lebanon. Ahmad’s home suffered significant structural damage due to the pressure and blast wave from nearby explosions. Although the explosion didn’t directly hit their house, the force of the blast caused extensive damage, making it difficult to live safely or comfortably, including broken windows, damaged furniture, and cracks in the supporting columns, which may compromise the safety and stability of the apartment.

Ahmad is an incredibly kind and creative individual who even documented one of the explosions from his uncle’s house. Despite his resilence, he and his family are struggling to afford basic needs such as food, medications, and repairs to their home. The financial crisis and lack of work in Lebanon are compounding these challenges.

Ahmad’s family requires several essential medications to manage chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, mental health, and gastrointestinal issues. These medications are critical for their well-being but come at a significant cost, especially given the current economic situation in Lebanon. Ahmad has kindly shared this information with me to help illustrate the challenges his family is facing. Every contribution will go toward ensuring they have access to these vital treatments.

Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Essential repairs to the family’s home

• Medications and basic supplies

• Support for their new kitten, Tommy, who has been a source of comfort during these difficult times

I’ve been helping Ahmad as much as I can, but I know the generosity of others, especially Australians, can make a much larger impact.
