Help Agustin beat cancer and save his eye

This is Agustin--he is funny, likes to dance, and overall he is a warrior. Agustin is 1 year and 9 months old and has been battling eye cancer for the last 9 months. In this battle, he already lost one of his little eyes. To save his other eye, his family needs to seek treatment in Argentina, as in Costa Rica, where they live they don't have the treatment he needs. Please help save little Agustin's only eye and help him beat cancer.

Agustin's journey...

Agustin is an active, happy, and funny little boy who loves dancing. He is the baby of a family of four children, whose life has been turned upside down since Agustin was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma (cancer of both eyes) when he had just turned 1 year old. Ever since, for the past 9 months, he has been undergoing a combination of therapies--including vein-injected chemotherapy and surgeries involving heat and cold to destroy the growth of cancer cells. These treatments are painful but Agustin has been courageous. However, due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, this week Agustin had his left eye surgically removed.

The family is now fighting to try to save Agustin's right eye so that he does not become completely blind. Despite completing the chemotherapy treatment, the diagnosis from his oncologist is that the cancer will pick up strength and Agustin needs a more specialized treatment which is not available in Costa Rica. The treatment Agustin needs to save his eye is called ophthalmic artery infusion chemotherapy, which is only available in specialized retinoblastoma treatment centers. The most cost-effective center for the family is in Argentina, so Agustin's parents have made the difficult and courageous decision to take Agustin to Argentina to try to save his right eye.

The oncologist has estimated that the family will need 60 to 80 thousand dollars to cover the costs of chemotherapy and other treatments. Each chemotherapy session will cost the family 15 thousand dollars.

Needless to say, the family does not have this kind of money, but they are hopeful and motivated and will do anything to save their little boy's vision and life. They have organized several local fundraisers in their hometown of Monteverde, Costa Rica.
