Help Agness get life changing treatment

Hello to you all, my name is Jasper and l am fund raising for my wife Agness. In November 2016 Agness was a student nurse with the university of Stirling at the Inverness campus . One day she came home and told me she had this sensation of pins and needles in her left hand and she mentioned that it was coming and going , we both did not think much of it as we put it down to driving back and forth and work as she was on placement that time. The problem persisted and we went to see the doctor, they looked at Agness’ past medical history and there was nothing to indicate why she was having this problem. Blood tests were done, her urine and stool samples were sent to the lab and all results were fine. The only medication Agness was on at that time was her family planning tablet, the doctor changed a few times to make sure it was not responsible .
ln 2017, symptoms continued, and the other hand started having pins and needles as well and as a result ,Agness had difficulties using both hands. She was referred to be seen by a neurologist at Ninewells hospital . Several assessments were carried out to determine the cause of the health problem she was experiencing . All were inconclusive . Her case was referred to a neurologist consultant and more tests were done including a brain scan and electrical studies in the hope to get to the bottom of all this but there was nothing definate to point to the cause of the ailment .
Due to reduced mobility and poor dexterity, Agness withdrew from university in 2018 when she was in her final year. Hard as it was , she had to make that decision. She was devastated as she was eight months away from completion of her course. At the beginning of 2019 Agness was given a disgnosis of Motor neurone disease (MND), a condition that affect nerves resulting in muscle wasting. She was discharged from the hospital as any treatment that deals with nerve damage are not under NHS. Through research we identified a place in USA that specialises in that area, hence this fund raise.
The main purposes for this fund raise is to
1) Enable us to take Agness for treatment at a specialist nerve damage Hospital in America, the treat we seek is not offered by the NHS.
2)Enable us to make some necessary adaptations to our home to cater for Agnes’s needs as her mobility and dexterity are now reduced. The adaptations will ensure we maintain her safety and independence around the house.
This can be made possible through your support and generosity . We are appealing to all our family, relatives and friends to make this dream a reality. We aim to raise £150000 for Agness to get the life changing treatment that she needs and to make necessary changes in the house to make her life bearable and to try to meet her need.
Thank you in advance for your support in our journey.
