Help Agnes through a diagnosis of Cancer

Our friend Agnes is in need of help. She is facing a dire situation. For months she was in debilitating pain and thought she had a severe gum infection. Unfortunately, in late April she received a Cancer diagnosis and is now on the painful and difficult journey through treatment and, hopefully, recovery.
Agnes is one of those rare, truly kind people who helps anyone around her she sees struggling, no matter her own situation and without a second thought. She is the sort of person you invite to dinner- saying “bring nothing” and who turns up with 25 pierogi and desert. She shares your joy when you have good news with tears in her eyes and when you are feeling broken she holds you and she supports you. And now we would like to help her with what she is facing.
COVID-19 has severely impacted her source of income as a cleaner over the past year, and her operation and ongoing treatment has made physical work impossible and will continue to for the coming months. Agnes raises her daughter Sandra on her own - a wonderful 16 year old who, alongside so many others has already suffered huge disruption and stress as a teenager slated for GCSEs this year.
We would like to help Agnes cope with the financial difficulties and loss of earnings. Due to the pandemic the limited treatment the NHS can offer is also a source of concern.
As Agnes said upon receiving her diagnosis:
“I have tears in my eyes. I’m so petrified. I don’t know how all of this will turn out. I’m worried about Sandra. Sandra’s exams. The huge pain I’ll be dealing with. That I won’t be able to eat, speak and drink for sometime. I’m so scared about how things will go ahead. How mine and Sandra’s future will go ahead. I don’t have family here. It’s just me and Sandra. My parents are in Poland.”
