Hi, my name is Agnes Mends. I never imagined I’d be creating this, but here I am—stepping out in faith and humility to ask for help.
I’m currently pursuing my Master of Public Health at George Washington University, with a deep desire to serve women and children through medicine and public health. I’m the daughter of resilient West African parents who fled civil war in Sierra Leone and raised me with strength and faith as refugees in Guinea. Their sacrifices shaped my drive and compassion—but like many first-generation students, I carry a lot on my shoulders.
This past year, I was overjoyed to be accepted into my dream MPH program with a full ride—but life has still thrown curveballs. I just lost my job, and my family is also struggling financially. Now I have an outstanding school balance that must be cleared in order for me to register for classes this fall.
I’ve come so far—working multiple jobs, supporting my family, and showing up with excellence even in tough times. But now, I need help to stay on the path God has laid before me. If you’ve ever seen potential in me, been touched by my words, or simply believe in investing in future healers, I’m asking you to partner with me.
How the Funds Will Be Used:
• To pay my outstanding student balance so I can register for fall classes.
Anything you give—$5, $50, $500—means more than you know. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing this link and lifting me up in prayer. I believe that God sees, God hears, and He provides through people like you.
With all my heart, thank you.
Love,
Agnes
