Help Agios Savvas with Vital Equipment
Donation protected
Hello, this is Nicholas K. Notias, CEO of SteelShips LLC.
It has come to my attention that the cardiology department of Agios Savvas, a renowned public hospital in Athens (Greece), is in need of an echocardiography machine with the capability of three-dimensional imaging of the heart and the appropriate workstation for further processing and storage of tests.
This equipment is vital in protecting the hearts of patients with cancer during their chemotherapy and radiotherapy, without which they may be cured of cancer, but die of heart-related complications.
Something that I was not personally aware of until recently, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments may have a harmful effect on the cardiovascular system (cardiotoxicity), causing heart attacks, arrhythmias, thrombosis, and heart failure, resulting in a large percentage of patients dying from heart-related failures, who otherwise were cured of cancer.
With modern oncology drugs, cancer is cured at higher rates than in the past. However, of the many patients who survive, the first cause of death is cardiovascular causes. This is something that can be avoided by having the proper equipment as stated herein. I kindly ask that we pause and take note that a small donation on our part can save thousands of lives.
Unfortunately, with the limited resources available to the state, the state cannot supply Agios Savvas with such an echocardiograph, but together, we can make the difference to so many patients. Patients who fought bravely to survive cancer.
Let us make the difference !
For this reason, we are reaching out to our friends and colleagues and would be grateful if you would join our efforts to equip Agios Savvas with the required echocardiography machine.
The make and model is the "GE VIVID E95 4D Ultra Edition v206 2022 with HDU display and eDelivery."
The cost quoted by GE HealthCare is Euros 100,000 plus 24% VAT, which in United States Dollars is $134,500.00.
If you would like to join us, please know that no donation is too small ... all donations come from people who have a big heart !
Sincerely yours,
Nicholas
