Help Agi with her journey to healthy hip

Donation protected
Three years ago Agi was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in her left hip and was advised to have hip replacement surgery.

At the time the 38 year old mother of 2 children, and super active Pilates teacher and movement passionate, wanted to prove that, with mindful movement and the right exercises, she could help her condition, prepare her body for surgery, but also postpone the operation for as long as possible.  During the last 3 years she has been able to strengthen the muscles and fascia around the affected hip and keep it mobile using her professional skills and knowledge of the human body.  She has managed to postpone the operation thus far but unfortunately the condition has progressed and worsened and now causes her high levels of pain and additionally limits the range of movement she has in her hip. In effect to avoid further damages, the surgery needs to be done very quick. Unfortunately NHS waiting list is almost 3 years long so Agi had to make a decision to undertake private surgery in a Sport Clinic in Poland.

Agi is an inspiration to the thousands of followers she has from around the world, and her many clients: both Pilates teachers and practitioners.  Agi shares her professional knowledge and experience with this community by teaching classes suitable for all different levels of practitioners and by presenting workshops and masterclasses.  She has also been called upon to appear as a specialist at international Pilates teacher training conferences.  During these varied sessions many of the attendees would never realise that she has to cope with such an impact on her physical body.  When Agi is teaching from the mat she controls that impact through the application of her vast knowledge of Pilates Principals, moving in a controlled and mindful way.

Agi’s body is her tool.  If she cannot use it she has no means of livelihood to support her family, nor can she continue to share her passion with those who find inspiration and support from her every day.  In recent months she has noticed a change in the way her condition impacts on daily life.  She now struggles with simple every day things like putting on socks, because of a lack of rotation in her hip, and walking, due to the pain and gripping she experiences around the hip joint.

If she could not offer something in return, Agi would never ask for personal help and support.  She will be running free on-line Zoom sessions where she will share her experience, knowledge and passion to help others.  If you attend and enjoy her on line Zoom classes she would kindly ask for a donation towards her extensive surgery costs.  Additionally, she will be recording videos as she progresses through her pre and post surgery journey and is offering access to these too.

So, support Agi on her journey, help her with the surgery and rehab cost and at the same time improve your own health and fitness, by attending on line Zoom sessions:
