Help Agela Rebuild After Job Loss

My name is Agela Abdullah. You may know me as Cheesewench on Instagram and Substack. In December of 2024 I was laid off. Since then I have been looking for employment both in and outside of the cheese industry. The job market is an absolute terror right now, and I haven't been able to find anything.

For the past six months I've been living off of savings and the little bit from unemployment insurance. UI is coming to an end, and I only have enough with my savings to get me through August. So even though it pains me to do it, I am no longer able to afford living in Chicago.

I am fortunate to have a friend in Vermont who has space for me and the two kitties while we get back up on our feet, so the big news is that I'm moving back to the Green Mountain State at the beginning of September.

I'm broke and it ain't no joke. So I'm asking my community for help in raising funds to pay the costs of moving and storing my items until I become employed and can get my own space for me, the kitties, and all my stuff.
