I’m currently a student at the University of Montevallo, and less than two weeks ago my family moved into a new home. Late Sunday night, a large tree fell into the house and caused major damage. A lot of our belongings were ruined, including clothes, kitchen appliances, and a lot of our cat’s things. Our couch was completely soaked, and there’s a lot of water damage throughout the house. Everything happened so fast, and it’s been really overwhelming trying to figure out what to do next.

Insurance will help with some of the costs, but it won’t cover everything. I’m in school and already paying for college on my own, so this has put a lot of unexpected stress on me and my family. The funds raised here will help us replace what we lost, repair the water damage, and get back on our feet after this disaster.
