Help after stroke for our father, Steve Robinson
Donation protected
Hi Everyone! My name is Kyla Simon, and as many of our family and friends have heard, my father Steve Robinson had a stroke last week on March 15th. My mother and father relocated to Tampa, FL for a job opportunity in November of 2020 after living in Louisville, KY for 20 years. The second week after arriving to Tampa, dad was diagnosed with Covid and admitted to the hospital, where he was put on a BI-PAP machine to assist with his breathing. After returning from the hospital dad stayed home and tried to gain his strength and energy back. A few short weeks later on Christmas Day my father had a heart attack. During his stay at the hospital he had to have three stents placed into his heart where doctors also found that a previous stent had failed, causing part of his heart muscle to die. He was able to come home finally, where he tried once again to regain his strength. Unfortunately, this past Monday my mom had to rush dad to the hospital after he was unable to move his body on his own, and was slurring his words and incoherent. After testing, doctors determined he had a stroke. He is now in intensive in-patient rehab at the hospital, where he has no function in the right side of his body, and is experiencing loss of vision. Due to all of these continuous medical crises he has been completely unable to work, which is unheard of with my dad, as he has been working constantly since he was 16. He called me crying multiple times last night at 11:00 p.m. in a very confused and slurry state to ask me if there was anything that I could help my mom do with the mounting medical bills that have been accumulated these past few months. He is so worried about her and the last thing that he needs to do right now is stress more. We will certainly sort things out no matter what it takes, but at this point help from our loved ones would mean the world to all of us. The funds raised would go straight towards the unexpected medical expenses that have come within the last few months. This would help relieve my dad from more stress that, quite literally, could be the difference between him making a recovery or not. No amount is too small, and everything helps at this point. If you are not able to donate please, please, please keep the prayers and words of encouragement coming for our family. We love all of you dearly and the support means more to us than can ever truly be explained. Please don’t hesitate to share this with others ❤️
