On Fri 25th June I had a Paragliding accident where I ended up breaking 2 arms, a leg and minor spinal injuries.

I require 3 operations over the coming weeks including spinal op today.

I run a small family owned business on the Gold Coast, and have a wife and three lovely kids to take care of.

When I contactedmy insurer they said I’m not covered because it was a paragliding accident. Obviously Work Cover will not help as it was not work related. As I am the main bread winner in the family, I have been told by docs I will be in hospital for the next 8 weeks and I will be in rehab for 6 months.

I don’t like asking for a handout as I work 80 hours a week to get to where I am. But unfortunately with no financial support from other resources, I need to drop my pride and ask for help when it’s needed, as my wife is extremely stressed, now having to run the business, look after the kids and the house and also come to hospital to look after me each day.

Anyway hope you can help, only what you can afford.
