LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Lake Charles family of five is staying in a hotel after losing their home and all possessions in a New Year’s fire that they say destroyed their house in minutes.

The Albury family escaped with only the clothes on their backs, some without shoes, after flames engulfed their home. All that remains are melted playsets, burnt studs and rubble.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, big or small. Thank you for considering a donation or sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help. Together, we can show them that they are not alone and that their community cares.
