On Saturday, April 18th, my family and I experienced something no one ever expects. We were involved in a hit and run accident at 11:26 am when a driver ran a red light and crashed into the front of our vehicle. In an instant, our lives were turned upside down. The driver fled the scene, leaving us to pick up the pieces and face the emotional and physical aftermath. I was transported to the hospital with back pain, and my husband’s truck, something he had just finished paying off, was completely totaled. Our two children, ages 6 and 3, were in the back seat at the time. We are so incredibly thankful that we hadn’t gone a second sooner at the light, or our kids could have been hit. That thought alone has been overwhelming, but we are grateful every day that they are safe and unharmed. Now, we are left to navigate the challenges that come after such a traumatic event. The medical bills are already starting to add up as I focus on my recovery, and replacing my husband’s truck is another unexpected burden. We are doing our best to stay strong for our kids, but the road ahead feels daunting. If you are able, your support would mean the world to us. Every donation will help us cover medical expenses and get back on our feet by replacing the truck my husband worked so hard for. Please keep our family in your prayers, and know that we are beyond grateful for any help you can offer. Thank you for being part of our journey to healing and recovery.
