This fundraiser is for three people who are like family to me, who lost everything and are facing unimaginable loss. On 12/21 their Chicago home was destroyed by fire, two occupants were hospitalized and one tragically passed away.

The homeowner is an 80-year-old widow with no immediate family. Her home is now uninhabitable, and she is currently hospitalized. She lost all of her belongings in the fire and will need basic necessities upon discharge, including clothing, a winter coat (It is so cold in Chicago!) and essential personal items, as well as assistance as she faces finding new housing.

Also living in the home were one of my closest high school friends and her brother, who has developmental disabilities. He was injured and hospitalized, and also lost all of his belongings, including clothing and his winter coat, and will also need help as he faces a new living situation.

Tragically, Jennifer Klebba passed away due to cardiac arrest from smoke inhalation. She has no other family, and I am now assisting with her end-of-life arrangements. This fundraiser will help cover her final expenses, so she can be laid to rest with dignity.

Jennifer and I bonded sophomore year of high school New Kids On the Block. We had a million teenage sleepovers. She was funny, colorful, loved music and performing. She had a big heart and was a great source of support and assistance to Linda (the homeowner) and her brother. Losing her is a huge loss to their daily lives and care.
