Help After Assault & Stolen Bike

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for support after a traumatic incident involving my husband on April 8th in El Monte, CA. While waiting in the drive-thru at 7 Leaves (Garvey/Valley area), he was attacked by two individuals and had his bike stolen during the assault. Thankfully, he’s okay—but it’s been a deeply upsetting and difficult experience for us.

I’ve been unemployed and actively looking for work, so my husband has been taking care of us financially for some time. That bike was his main form of transportation—something he relied on every day to get around and keep us going. Losing it has made an already tough situation even harder.

He doesn’t know I’m doing this—he’s always been so strong and tries to carry the weight on his own. Unfortunately, I’m not in a place financially to replace the bike myself, but I wanted to do something that might help us feel a little more in control of the situation. I’m hoping this can bring a bit of relief and hope during a time that’s felt anything but easy.

We’re raising funds to help replace the stolen bike and ease some of the pressure he’s been carrying. If you’re able to donate or simply share this, it would truly mean the world to us.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and for being here.

With gratitude,
Anna
