Hey everyone, this isn’t something we ever thought we’d have to do, but my wife and I are in a really tough situation right now and could really use some help. On Saturday, while beginning our move to Waco, we were involved in a 4-car accident on I-45. Someone came to a complete stop in the middle of the freeway, which caused a chain reaction — the car in front of us slammed on their brakes, and we did too. But with the misty rain and slick roads, our tires couldn’t grab the pavement. In a split second we had to choose between hitting the cars ahead of us or hitting the guard rail. We did everything we could to avoid something worse, but the accident still happened. Both of our vehicles were involved. My wife’s truck is more than likely totaled according to insurance, and the adjuster told us it’s not looking good. And my car — the one I just bought — has a bent frame. I’m grateful it protected me, because if I had been in anything smaller, it could have ended so much worse. But now we’re stuck with repairs and decisions we never expected to face.
We’re your average 8–5 working people, and this has hit us hard financially. We’re dealing with repair costs, tickets, insurance gaps, and having only one rental car — meaning we have to pay out of pocket just to get to work. Between the accident and the move, everything piled up at once. Donations will help us cover the cost of car repairs, medical bills, and an additional rental car so we can get to work and manage daily life while we recover from the accident. We know it’s Christmas time and money is tight for everyone. Please know there is absolutely no pressure. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this or keeping us in your thoughts means more than you know. It’s not easy for us to ask for help, but we can’t make it through this rough patch alone.
Thank you to anyone who donates, shares, or even just reads this. Truly — thank you. Merry Christmas, and we appreciate you more than words can say.
