Help African violinist Imole raise college funds.

Hello,

This is violinist Carl Johnston. I am raising funds to help my African on line student Imole Olugbola come to the United States from Africa to attend College as a violin Major at Marywood University in Pennsylvania.

Imloe contact me from Africa one year ago through social media asking for violin lessons. At that time he sent me a video of himself playing scales and a simple melody. When asking how long he had been playing violin, I was very surprised to learn that Imole was basically a beginner. He had been playing for only a few years. I was more amazed that he was self taught though his church. He was given a borrowed violin and learned from watching YouTube videos!! I saw there was much potential. I took Imole as a student. He began practicing 6 hours a day. His progress was amazing. Going from simple tunes and church hymns to Mozart 3rd Violin Concerto, Bach unaccompanied Partita No. 2, Kreutzer Etudes and Carl Flesh scales within one year is quite amazing!! He was accepted at each college he audition for as a violin major. Marywood University in Pennsylvania was his choice.

Imole's financial situation is not good. He works at his church to support his mother and brother. Imole's father had passed away and Imole has been the supporter of his family. His family is quite impoverished. I have given Imole tuition free lessons for this past year. He will be given a scholarship for college but he needs to raise money for a plane ticket to get here, books, food, medical insurance and help with housing.

I believe and so does his new college professor to be that Imole has the potential to be a professional violinist. This is his dream!! Please help Imole to come to the United States and fulfill this dream.
